Law Firm Seeks Associate Attorney in Mount Laurel, NJ with Competitive Salary and Benefits

Are you a licensed attorney with experience in default, eviction, and/or bankruptcy cases? Do you have a strong understanding of New Jersey state laws and court procedures? If so, our law firm in Mount Laurel, NJ is looking for an Associate Attorney to join our team.

As an Associate Attorney, you will be responsible for managing a high volume of mortgage and lending client case portfolios from start to finish. This includes drafting legal pleadings, conducting legal research, and attending court appearances. You will also collaborate with clients, internal staff, and others to ensure effective case management and meet all deadlines.

To be considered for this position, you must have a J.D from an ABA accredited law school and be an active member of the New Jersey State Bar in good standing. Previous experience with client systems used in default services, such as Black Knight, is preferred. You should also have excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as outstanding organizational abilities.

Responsibilities and Qualifications

As an Associate Attorney at our law firm, you will have the following responsibilities and qualifications:

Responsibilities:

- Draft legal pleadings, notices of hearings, motions, and orders
- Conduct legal research and analyze statutes, judicial decisions, legal articles, codes, and more
- Update case management system in a timely manner to ensure data integrity
- Travel to court for appearances and visit client sites as needed
- Communicate and collaborate with clients, internal staff, and others to ensure effective case management
- Prioritize and manage a high volume of cases with accuracy and attention to detail
- Attend routine and litigation hearings, settlement conferences, and other court appearances as necessary
- Review case work prepared by paralegals and make corrections as needed

Qualifications:

- J.D from an ABA accredited law school
- Active and in good standing with the New Jersey State Bar
- Litigation skills
- Default, eviction, and/or bankruptcy experience with lenders and mortgage services in the State of New Jersey preferred
- Previous experience with electronic case management systems, especially CaseAware preferred
- Knowledge of laws related to practice areas, legal codes, and court procedures
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with clients and employees at all levels
- Flexible, self-directed, and motivated
- Outstanding organizational skills
- Ability to handle a large volume of cases
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products, such as Outlook and Word
- Valid Driver’s License

Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $85,000 to $100,000 annually for our Associate Attorney position in Mount Laurel, NJ. In addition, we provide an origination incentive of 20% for any additional business brought into the firm. Our comprehensive benefits package includes health insurance and a 401k plan.
