Job Description:
- Full-time staff attorney position in Juneau, Alaska
- Serve clients experiencing domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking
- Appear in state and tribal court civil proceedings involving family law, housing, consumer protection, public benefits, and health care
- Develop new alternative dispute resolution options for trauma survivors
- Funded by a grant from the U.S. Department of Justice Office of Violence Against Women
- Provide legal assistance to victims of domestic violence to resolve family disputes and other civil matters
- Prioritizes services to Alaska Native/American Indian victims and victims experiencing disabilities
- Work as part of a three-person team with an AWARE-based legal advocate and counselor

Requirements:
- Admitted to practice law in Alaska or eligible for an Alaska Bar Rule 43 waiver
- Computer proficiency (Windows operating system, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Internet, e-mail, and data entry)
- Experience working with individuals experiencing trauma, physical and mental disabilities

Highly Desired:
- Background working in cross-cultural situations
- Knowledge, appreciation, experience, and commitment to working with and for Alaska Native peoples and statewide Native organizations

Salary and Benefits:
- Salary range of $68,024-$102,036 DOE
- Generous benefits and leave package provided
- Partial reimbursement of relocation expenses
- Personal leave begins at six weeks per year for a full-time employee
- 15 paid holidays observed
