H2: Opportunity to Join Preeminent Insurance Coverage Law Firm

As a Risk Counsel at Clyde & Co US LLP, you will have the opportunity to support the dynamic and growing business of the US' top insurance coverage law firm. This role will involve research and analysis related to new matters, changes in existing matters, and new hires. You will work closely with the Office of the US General Counsel, Firm attorneys, and various departments to identify and manage potential conflicts of interest. The ideal candidate will have strong written and communication skills, exceptional research abilities, and a proven track record of problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:

- Advise Firm attorneys and staff on conflict of interest issues for new matters and lateral attorney/paralegal candidates
- Educate Firm attorneys and staff on policies and procedures related to conflicts and business intake
- Assist with daily workflow and establish new methods for conflicts searches
- Train new hires and support the Firm's Business Acceptance Unit
- Draft and review engagement letters, conflict waiver letters, and ethical wall memoranda
- Communicate with Firm attorneys and clients to draft and negotiate engagement letters and conflict waiver letters
- Stay informed on current rules, laws, and business issues that may impact Firm attorneys
- Have knowledge of Rules of Professional Conduct and legal ethics issues
- Available to address global needs across multiple time zones, including evenings and weekends
- Other duties as needed

Qualifications:

- Law degree from an accredited law school
- Active bar license in good standing in a state where Clyde & Co US LLP maintains an office
- 5 years of experience in conflicts, risk management, or insurance coverage at a law firm
- Experience with conflicts identification and clearance
