International Tax Services Intern - Summer 2025

BDO, one of the largest accounting and advisory organizations, is seeking a Tax Intern for their International Tax Services team. This position offers the chance to gain hands-on experience and develop skills in a fast-paced, global environment. As an Intern, you will work alongside experienced professionals and assist in providing international tax advice to clients, while also gaining exposure to various tax issues and compliance requirements. Key Responsibilities: Assisting in developing and implementing critical thinking to provide clients with tax advice on international tax issues Learning about international tax law and how it applies to specific clients Monitoring tax law and client developments on a daily basis Coordinating with BDO colleagues in over 160 countries on how US tax rules align with foreign tax law Exploring specialization in one or more international tax areas Conducting research and analysis on international tax issues Preparing Written Tax Advice (WTA) on international tax and cross-border transactions Assisting in obtaining client information for international tax compliance forms Developing a basic understanding of tax compliance, including using tax compliance software and analyzing cross-border transactions Utilizing tax research databases and software Understanding and applying Firm policies and standards Qualifications: Bachelor's degree, preferred Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Accounting, Taxation, or related field Leadership experience, preferred Pursuing credits towards a CPA or J.D., preferred Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and tax-related software Experience with RIA, BNA, Lexis Nexis, and/or Westlaw, preferred Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work effectively in a team setting Positive attitude and willingness to learn Salary Information: Individual salaries offered based on qualifications, experience, skills, and geography California Range: $28.00/hr - $37.00/hr NYC/Long Island/Westchester Range: $32.00/hr - $36.00/hr Washington Range: $28.00/hr - $37.00/hr About BDO: BDO is a place where your work is impactful, and you are valued for your individuality.
