Position: Staff Attorney - Disability Rights Unit/Homeless Outreach Program (DRU/HOP)
Location: Norfolk, VA
Experience: Must be a member of the Virginia State Bar in good standing, eligible to waive in as a Virginia Legal Aid Counsel with at least 2 years of experience, or sitting for the July 2024 Virginia bar exam

The Legal Aid Society of Eastern Virginia (LASEV) is seeking a dedicated and passionate staff attorney to join our team in providing legal services to disabled and homeless individuals in the Hampton Roads area. As a non-profit public interest law firm founded in 1966, LASEV is committed to fighting for justice and serving low-income clients in a variety of civil legal matters. This position is within our Disability Rights Unit/Homeless Outreach Program (DRU/HOP) located in our Norfolk office.

Role and Responsibilities:
- Provide legal services to disabled and homeless individuals in the Hampton Roads area
- Work within the Disability Rights Unit/Homeless Outreach Program (DRU/HOP) at LASEV
- Handle a variety of civil legal matters for low-income clients
- Passion for justice and commitment to poverty law is a must

Salary and Benefits:

- Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19

Requirements:
- Must be a member of the Virginia State Bar in good standing
- Eligible to waive in as a Virginia Legal Aid Counsel by having at least two years’ experience in good standing in another state bar
- Or sitting for the July 2024 Virginia bar exam
