The company is looking to hire a Liability Defense Attorney II to join their team in Orlando, FL. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary based on experience and qualifications. The position is hybrid, with 2 days working in the office during orientation and attending in-person court hearings.

As a Liability Defense Attorney II, you will be responsible for defending lawsuits filed in Florida courts. This includes researching laws and preparing legal briefs, opinions, and memoranda, as well as rendering opinions on liability, damages, and value as requested by the Claims Department. You will also be responsible for preparing and handling pleadings, motions, and discovery, and defending by trial or dispositive hearing.

To be considered for this position, you must have 4-5 years of litigation experience, including some insurance/bodily injury defense. A Juris Doctor degree and admission to the Florida Bar in good standing are also required. You must also be licensed in good standing to practice law in Florida and be able to travel as needed. Strong communication and organizational skills are also necessary for this role.
