"2024 Summer Intern (Legal) - REMOTE" - A remote internship opportunity offered by Ryder for undergraduate and graduate students in the legal field.

Salary for the position is $18 an hour, with benefits including health and welfare options, paid time off, and a 401(k) retirement savings plan.

Interns will have the opportunity to work on current Ryder projects and gain a corporate business sense by learning how each department contributes to the organization. This includes developing problem-solving, analysis, and public speaking skills through attending business meetings and participating in projects.

The internship is open to students who have completed at least four semesters of college and are currently enrolled in a finance or accounting degree program. Applicants should be able to commit to 8 weeks virtually, with potential for in-person meetings if local to Miami HQ.

The primary responsibilities for the intern in the legal department include researching, tracking, and compiling policy, sustainability, and industry/association items, managing correspondence and requests, and participating in team calls. Ad-hoc responsibilities may include conducting research for other programs and creating educational materials.

Possible projects for interns in the environmental services department include conducting regulatory reviews, completing audits, and analyzing pricing for vendors. Applicants with knowledge or courses in this field, as well as experience with Microsoft Office, are preferred.
