Ryder, a leading transportation and logistics company, is seeking interns for their Summer Internship Program. This program provides students with the opportunity to apply their knowledge and gain practical experience by working on current Ryder projects.

The internship will be remote, allowing students to work from the comfort of their own home. This is a great opportunity for students to develop their corporate business sense while learning how each department contributes to the overall organization. In addition, interns will also gain crucial problem-solving, analysis, and public speaking skills by attending business meetings and participating in projects.

Ryder is currently seeking interns at the graduate and undergraduate level in the Legal department. The role responsibilities for this position include researching, tracking, and compiling policy, sustainability, and industry/association items. Interns will also assist with managing ESG requests/questionnaires and record keeping, as well as participate in team calls and prepare meeting materials.

In addition to the role responsibilities, interns will also have ad-hoc responsibilities such as conducting research for other programs and creating educational materials for the field in priority areas. The ideal candidate for this position should be a resourceful team player who can manage ambiguity and adapt to different situations and people.

For the Environmental Services department, possible projects include conducting a comprehensive U.S. state-by-state regulatory review, completing desktop audits of Torque processes, and expanding on water stress area analysis. Requirements for this position include a commitment of 8 weeks virtually, with potential for in-person meetings/activities if the candidate is local to Ryder's Miami headquarters.

Ryder offers comprehensive health and welfare benefits for interns, including medical, prescription, dental, vision, life insurance, and disability insurance options. Interns will also receive paid time off for vacation, illness, bereavement, family and parental leave, and a tax advantaged 401(k) retirement savings plan.

In terms of salary, for applicants from California, Colorado, Connecticut, New Jersey, New York City, and Washington, the hourly rate for this position is $18. Salary is determined based on internal equity, salary ranges, market data, skills, relevant experience, and degrees or certifications.

Ryder is an Equal Opportunity Employer and a Drug-Free Workplace. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, religion, color, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, status as a protected veteran, or status as a qualified individual with a disability.

To apply for this position, job seekers can review the Job Applicant Privacy Policy on Ryder's website and click on the link to apply. Current employees of Ryder can apply through the internal application process on Workday.
