As a Federal Tax Associate, you will work with high net worth families, closely held businesses, estates, trusts, and private foundations. This role will involve developing strong relationships with clients, completing tax planning and research, and preparing federal and state & local tax returns. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge tax ideas and stay current on relevant tax legislation.

To be considered for this position, you must have a Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field, as well as the required coursework to sit for the CPA exam or be a licensed JD or enrolled agent. Responsibilities:

- Work with high net worth families, closely held businesses, estates, trusts, and private foundations
- Develop strong relationships with clients based on understanding their needs and challenges
- Complete tax planning and research
- Prepare federal and state & local tax returns
- Stay current on tax legislation relevant to Private Client Service clients
- Develop cutting-edge tax ideas to lessen clients' overall effective tax rates
- Leverage tax knowledge and understanding of the tax preparation process to bring work to completion for review
- Demonstrate awareness of differing levels of assurance as it relates to tax positions taken
- Write memoranda and other documentation on complex tax issues
- Stay current on relevant tax legislation

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in accounting or business-related field
- Required coursework to sit for the CPA exam, licensed JD, or enrolled agent
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Excellent client relations and interpersonal skills
- Outstanding organizational skills
- CPA, JD, or Enrolled Agent designation preferred
- LL.M. in Taxation and/or Master's in Taxation preferred
