H2: Essential Job Functions and Qualifications for Network Engineer Role

Essential Job Functions:
- Troubleshoot network issues to ensure optimal performance for firm-wide business needs
- Install, manage, and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, firewalls, switches, and voice solutions
- Document systems and procedures for departmental objectives
- Collaborate with senior network engineers to resolve issues and implement enhancements
- Create and implement security measures to meet network SLAs and performance metrics
- Upgrade hardware and software to meet best practice guidelines
- Provide remote support during and after business hours
- Identify areas for automation and assist in the process
- Be available for after-hours support and occasional travel
- Use technical expertise to anticipate future business needs

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience
- 2 years of relevant experience
- Proficiency with Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and automation tools
- Understanding of voice and collaboration solutions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects
- Team player with excellent communication skills
- Exceptional work ethic and customer service skills
- Willingness to help others and maintain a professional demeanor
- Available for off-hours work and on-call rotation

Physical Effort/Work Conditions:
- Professional office environment
- Regular attendance at Dechert location with occasional travel
- Operation of standard office equipment
- Sedentary work with occasional lifting and movement
- Normal audio and visual abilities
