This boutique practice serves high net-worth individuals, families, and other complex clients in all aspects of tax consulting and compliance. The Tax Manager will utilize their skills and education to provide exceptional service to clients, manage engagements, and develop relationships with clients and industry professionals. Job Duties: - Manage tax and consulting engagements - Gather information from clients and advisors for tax returns - Review various tax returns and provide feedback to team members - Communicate with government agencies on complex matters - Identify technical issues and conduct advanced tax research - Prioritize and complete tasks individually and as a team - Assist with firm contribution responsibilities - Build and maintain relationships with BDO professionals and external sources Supervisory Responsibilities: - Supervise and train team members - Review work prepared by team members - Act as a Career Advisor and mentor to team members - Schedule and manage workload of team members - Provide performance feedback to team members Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Education: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Statistics - Master's degree in Accountancy or Taxation preferred Experience: - Five or more years of experience in accounting, finance, or law - Experience in public accounting or private client service preferred License/Certifications: - Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Internal Revenue Service Enrolled Agent (EA), or Attorney preferred - Possession of other relevant professional degrees or certifications is a plus Software: - Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat - Experience with tax compliance process software and tax research tools preferred Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: - Self-starter with a drive for career and technical development - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - Strong leadership skills and ability to work collaboratively - Business development and networking skills - Ability to supervise, train, and develop team members Salary Information: Individual salaries offered to candidates are determined based on qualifications, experience, skills, and location.
