About the Role:

Our law firm, located in Gloucester, is seeking a Legal Secretary / Conveyancer to join our Litigation team. This is a full-time position with an immediate start date.

Key Responsibilities:

- Reception duties such as attending to new matter enquiries in person and on the phone, and managing all incoming calls for the office.
- Conveyancing tasks including the sale and purchase of residential, commercial, and rural properties, as well as transfer granting easements, sale and purchase of business, and commercial and rural leases.
- Handling disputes related to fencing and debt recovery.
- Drafting and preparing legal documents for wills and estate planning, and witnessing the execution of these documents.
- Managing probate, letters of administration, and notices of death.
- Archiving and safe custody storage of important documents.
- General office tasks such as banking, collecting mail, scanning, filing, and verifying identification.
- Working independently when the solicitor is not present.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook.

Requirements:

- Previous experience as a Legal Secretary or Conveyancer is preferred.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook.
- Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
