Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP is seeking a Patent Docket Specialist to join our growing Intellectual Property Patent Support Unit. This position will be responsible for maintaining the Patent computerized docket system and will be supervised by the Regional Manager of Patent Support Services. This is a full-time position with a hybrid in-office/remote working schedule and can reside in any of our offices across the US.

As a Patent Docket Specialist, you will have the opportunity to work with a global law firm and support attorneys and staff in the Intellectual Property practice group. This position requires a minimum of one year of docketing experience or equivalent knowledge of patent processes, a high school diploma, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail and organization skills, the ability to work well under pressure and in a team environment, and excellent verbal and written communication skills. Flexibility to work overtime is preferred.

If hired, the employee will be in an "at-will position" and the law firm reserves the right to modify base salary and other compensation and benefits at any time. The salary range for this position will be determined during the interview process and may vary based on factors such as prior experience and market factors. The total compensation package may also include benefits such as medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, 401(k) eligibility, and various paid time off benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided upon receiving an offer of employment.

Responsibilities of the Patent Docket Specialist include coordinating all areas of the CPI database, processing incoming communications, and providing reports to patent personnel and attorneys. Qualifications for this position include a minimum of one year of docketing experience or equivalent knowledge of patent processes, a high school diploma, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are also necessary.

The salary range for this position varies based on location, with a range of $56,708.00 - $90,732.00 for positions in Century City, CA, Los Angeles, CA, and Orange County, CA and a range of $61,639.00 - $98,622.00 for positions in San Francisco, CA and Silicon Valley, CA. The final salary offered may be outside of this range based on individual circumstances and other factors. The total compensation package for this position may also include eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus, participation in 401(k) and medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and other benefits.
