Director of Human Resources

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the Human Resources team across five cities.
Provide strategic and effective guidance, mentorship, and coaching to team members.
Oversee salary, payroll, and benefits administration.
Manage new employee onboarding and orientation.
Maintain regular communication with employees and handle employee counseling as directed by senior management.
Conduct post-hire check-ins and exit interviews.
Coordinate with Texas Workforce Commission and manage all labor relations activities in coordination with the General Counsel.
Monitor yearly performance evaluations and work with senior management on merit increases.
Ensure compliance with Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
Manage FMLA and LOA paperwork and administration.
Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the Firm's culture and objectives.
Report on department metrics and ensure compliance.

Qualifications:

Experience in Human Resources in a law firm preferred.
Knowledge of employment law and practices in Texas.
Human Resource certifications preferred (CPLP, PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP).
Strong leadership skills and ability to collaborate with team members.
Excellent communication and counseling skills.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
Strong understanding of HR metrics and compliance.
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field.
