Are you an experienced immigration paralegal looking for a new opportunity? Look no further! LaGrone Law, LLC, a rapidly expanding immigration law and criminal defense firm based in Lawrenceville, GA, is seeking a talented and experienced immigration paralegal to join our team.

As an immigration paralegal at our firm, you will provide legal and administrative support to the managing attorney and be responsible for a variety of duties. This is a part-time position, with the potential for full-time in the future. While this is currently a hybrid remote position, you will be required to have your own home office set up including computer, internet, and phone.

Key Responsibilities:

● Maintaining legal files (both paper & electronic) and organizing documents in designated order
● Preparing legal and administrative correspondence and documents in adherence with legal document standards
● Verifying client and case information for accuracy and completeness
● Updating clients on case progress and explaining next steps
● Interviewing initial clients and translating attorney requirements to clients as needed
● Researching requirements for specific immigration cases
● Online filing of Motions
● Preparing and mailing applications/filings to be submitted to government agencies

Requirements:

● Paralegal Certificate or equivalent work experience
● Minimum 5 years of immigration experience with knowledge of family-based petitions, removal defense, VAWA, K1 visa, U-visa, Consular Processing, Humanitarian Parole, and Waivers.
● Proficiency in removal defense, BIA appeals, and Asylum
● Knowledge of Business Immigration and Sports and Entertainment visas a plus
● Experience with ECAS filings
● Strong organizational skills to manage multiple cases at different stages
● Excellent communication skills to keep both the attorney and client informed of the process
● Sharp attention to detail
● Demonstrated organizational, analytical, and proactive problem-solving skills
● Ability to multitask and work with different programs simultaneously
● A positive attitude and ability to work in a team environment
● Excellent oral and written communication skills
● Experience in having difficult and personal conversations with clients
● Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus, but not necessary

What We Offer:

At LaGrone Law, LLC, we are invested in building our A-Team and provide training on the types of legal matters we handle, how we track our leads, and how to use our CRM system. However, we are looking for someone who is self-sufficient and can hit the ground running. This is not an entry-level position.

Compensation:

Initial compensation for this position is $30-$35 per hour. This is a part-time position with expected hours of 25 per week, during business hours. The schedule is Monday to Friday with no travel required. The work location is a hybrid remote position in Lawrenceville, GA 30046.
