Responsibilities:

- Provide contextual analysis and critical assessment of new business intake reports, lateral hire conflicts checks, RFPs, OCGs, and other conflicts materials.
- Guide the Conflicts Team's responses or directly handle the responses to more complex requests.
- Communicate and disseminate conflicts of interest information to the Business Intake Approval Committee (BIAC) and all levels of firm personnel.
- Oversee department's administration of ethical screens and maintain familiarity with the disqualification rules for multiple jurisdictions.
- Manage the lateral conflicts check process and serve as a resource for all assigned conflicts staff.
- Oversee research provided for the RFP process and ensure timely delivery of deadline-driven responses.
- Monitor new business and conflicts trends and remain current with respect to both individual practice areas and the Firm as a whole.
- Supervise weekend and holiday coverage on a rotating basis.
- Provide ongoing review of Conflicts Team's work product and provide formal feedback as requested.
- Independently identify research needs and effectively utilize third-party business resources.
- Manage special projects and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

- J.D. required; must be active and in good standing with Ohio or DC Bar membership or immediately waiver eligible.
- Minimum three years' law firm experience and legal, writing, or research experience related to the skills or duties described.
- Demonstrated ability to independently plan and coordinate work with others as necessary to bring projects to successful completion.
- Experience in a large international law firm is strongly preferred.
- Prior and substantive supervisory experience is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to use electronic workflow systems.
- Proactive self-starter with excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and with department management.
- Consistent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
