Experienced Litigation Legal Administrative Assistant at Law Firm in Potomac, MD

The **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW*** law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Administrative Assistant to join their Commercial Litigation Department in their Potomac office. This is a full-time, in-office position with long-term career opportunities and full benefits.

Responsibilities:

- Provide comprehensive administrative support to attorneys specializing in litigation matters
- Draft and proofread legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, and correspondence
- Manage and organize case files, ensuring all relevant documents are properly filed and easily accessible
- Coordinate with clients, court personnel, and other parties involved in litigation proceedings
- Assist with trial preparation, including assembling exhibits, organizing evidence, and coordinating witness schedules
- Schedule depositions, meetings, and court appearances
- Handle electronic filing (e-filing) and service of court documents in both state (DC, MD and VA) and federal courts
- Schedule and coordinate meetings, depositions, hearings, and other appointments
- Maintain attorney calendars, deadlines, and reminders
- Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
- Create and maintain pleadings
- Provide support to other members of the legal team as needed

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certificate or equivalent experience
- 5 years of relevant litigation experience
- Strong knowledge of legal procedures, terminology, and court rules related to litigation
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including comfort and skill in speaking with clients
- Good organizational and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and document management software, and able to effectively use other litigation software
- Proven legal research skills; proficiency with legal research platforms such as LexisNexis or Westlaw is preferred
