Associate Counsel - Consumer and Travel Agency

As an Associate Counsel for Hopper’s Consumer and Travel Agency businesses, you will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic and innovative legal team in a fast-paced and exciting industry. With a focus on consumer product, regulatory, and transactional matters, you will play a critical role in supporting Hopper’s global business and driving its success.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide legal advice and support on a wide range of complex and evolving issues, including consumer protection, regulatory compliance, data privacy and information security, and corporate governance.
Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts with Hopper’s partners and suppliers, including travel partner and supplier contracts, technology services agreements, and other commercial agreements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product leads and senior business partners, to provide legal guidance and support for new product launches and business initiatives.
Stay up-to-date on legal and regulatory developments impacting the travel industry, and proactively identify and mitigate potential risks for Hopper’s business.
Develop and maintain scalable and efficient processes for legal review and launch of new products, including drafting and maintaining product terms and conditions.
Partner with external counsel as needed to support Hopper’s global business operations.

Qualifications:

J.D. or LLM from a top law school in the United States.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in an in-house legal role, government, and/or law firm practice advising on a range of commercial contracting matters.
Strong knowledge of consumer product, regulatory, and transactional matters, with experience in the travel industry preferred.
Ability to work independently and manage a high volume of complex and time-sensitive projects.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Willingness to take on new challenges and learn new areas of law and business.

Job Summary:
Hopper is seeking an attorney with experience in consumer product, regulatory, and transactional matters to join their growing legal team as Associate Counsel for their Consumer and Travel Agency businesses. This role will report to the Deputy General Counsel and work closely with cross-functional teams to provide legal advice on complex matters and drive and execute commercial contracts with partners and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:
