Law Firm Seeking IP Litigation Practice Group Legal Assistant with Experience in Intellectual Property

Leason Ellis, an established IP boutique law firm in White Plains, NY, is seeking a full-time and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our IP litigation practice group. We offer a dynamic and diverse work environment, competitive compensation and benefits package, and a collaborative, hands-on approach to handling intellectual property issues for our clients.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

• Provide administrative support to group co-chairs, attorneys, and paralegals
• Conduct conflict checks, prepare conflict waiver and engagement letters, and open new matters
• Prepare memos, letters, and other documents with high accuracy and attention to detail
• Maintain attorneys' calendars and contact lists, including arranging internal and external meetings and conferences
• Coordinate business development and marketing efforts, including creating PowerPoint presentations and proposals
• Arrange business-related travel and submit expenses for reimbursement on behalf of attorneys
• Review monthly bills and ensure consistency and accuracy
• Upload documents and correspondence in compliance with firm procedures
• Proofread material for grammatical, typographical, and spelling errors
• Coordinate CLE training classes
• Perform other administrative duties as assigned

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• 2 years of experience in intellectual property litigation
• Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to follow-up and follow-through on pending items and issues
• Demonstrated ability to multitask and problem solve
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and deadlines
• Team player with a positive client-service mindset
• Flexible and available for overtime as needed
