Patent Attorney - Lowenstein Sandler Intellectual Property Team (NJ/UT/CA)

Job Description:

- Seeking a highly qualified Patent Associate or Patent Agent with experience in drafting, preparing, filing, and prosecuting patent applications for software
- Must have experience with operating systems, middleware software, directory servers, network management, virtualization, and cloud computing
- A degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering is required, along with work experience as a software developer
- Must be admitted to the USPTO

Key Responsibilities:

- Draft, prepare, file, and prosecute patent applications for software
- Conduct patent searches and analyze prior art
- Work closely with clients to understand their technology and develop effective patent strategies
- Collaborate with other attorneys and agents to provide comprehensive IP services to clients
- Keep up-to-date with changes in patent laws and regulations
- Assist with patent litigation and IP due diligence as needed

Qualifications:

- 3rd year or higher experience as a Patent Associate or Patent Agent
- Experience with drafting, preparing, filing, and prosecuting patent applications for software
- Knowledge of operating systems, middleware software, directory servers, network management, virtualization, and cloud computing
- Degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
- Admitted to the USPTO
- Excellent communication and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
