Job Title: Mid-Level Estates and Probate Attorney II

Experience: 5 years

Salary: $110,000 - $120,000 annually

Law Firm is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Estates and Probate Attorney II to join our team. This is a full-time position with opportunities for growth and a competitive compensation and bonus program. The successful candidate will have a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school and be admitted to the bar in the state in which they intend to practice. They must also have a minimum of 5 years of experience as an Estate Planning attorney and be able to handle probate cases.

The successful Estates and Probate Attorney II will be self-directed and thrive with support and autonomy. They will receive a substantial portion (approximately 75%) of their work through lead generation and marketing efforts by Law Firm and other attorneys in the office. They will also be responsible for generating 25% of their own billable work and attending four events per quarter. To ensure success, Attorneys have access to coaching and support services for business development and networking.

Key responsibilities of the Estates and Probate Attorney II include:

• Mediation and trial experience
• Researching and analyzing complex legal issues
• Writing memorandums, briefs, letters, and other legal documents
• Maintaining a professional attitude and strong sense of discretion when handling sensitive information
• Communicating effectively with clients, court officials, and other employees
• Managing a busy schedule and multiple cases simultaneously
• Marketing the firm's services to prospective clients
• Performing discovery of electronically stored data and hard copies of information for litigation preparation
• Conducting due diligence for legal matters such as contracts and mergers and acquisitions
• Closing client consultations at a rate of 30-50%
• Timely approval of invoices to maintain the financial health of the business
• Ensuring support staff are fully utilized and productive
• Actively engaging in personal and firm brand expansion through various channels such as blogs, social media, and participation in boards and organizations
• Seeking positive feedback and reviews from satisfied clients

The Attorney II is expected to bill an average of 1500 hours annually, with collections expected on 1400 hours of invoices worked while maintaining a full-time employment schedule. This translates to billing 30 hours per week for 50 weeks per year. The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary and bonuses, with a potential total compensation of $110,000 - $120,000 per year.

Requirements for this position include excellent writing and interpersonal skills, strong legal research abilities, and a Juris Doctor degree from an American Bar Association accredited law school. The candidate must also be admitted to the bar in the state in which they intend to practice and have a minimum of 5 years of experience as an Estate Planning attorney. They must also be able to handle probate cases.
