- Experience with issues impacting domestic violence survivors and/or Native American communities is a plus
- Valid driver's license and access to transportation for client meetings, court hearings, and visits with Tribal Advocates

Job Description:
- Serve Native American survivors of domestic violence in Northern Michigan with family law matters in both State and Tribal Court
- Work remotely with a focus on clients in Northern Michigan, especially the Upper Peninsula
- Collaborate with Uniting Three Fires Against Violence, a Statewide Tribal domestic violence and sexual assault Coalition
- Part of the larger CVLAP program, connected with civil legal aid attorneys across the state specializing in cases involving domestic violence, stalking, sexual assault, and elder abuse

Qualifications:

Job Description:
The **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW*** (CVLAP) is seeking a Staff Attorney to join their team. This Staff Attorney will focus on serving Native American survivors of domestic violence in Northern Michigan with family law matters. The position will involve working with clients in both State and Tribal Court, ranging from advice to full litigation. The work will be fully remote, but the Attorney will primarily serve clients in Northern Michigan, with a focus on the Upper Peninsula. This position is part of a joint project with Uniting Three Fires Against Violence, a Statewide Tribal domestic violence and sexual assault Coalition. The Tribal Survivor Project staff are also part of the larger CVLAP program, which is connected with civil legal aid attorneys across the state that specialize in providing legal assistance in cases involving, domestic violence, stalking, sexual assault and elder abuse.

MSAS is administered by the Michigan Advocacy Program (MAP), which provides access to the justice system for those who need it the most through civil legal aid offices and statewide advocacy programs.
