Litigation Associate Lawyer

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of litigation matters and will be a valued member of our multi-disciplinary and collegial firm. Responsibilities of a Litigation Associate Lawyer As a Litigation Associate Lawyer at GGFI Law, you will play a crucial role in advocating for our clients at all stages of the litigation process. This will involve working closely with other associates and/or partners, conducting initial client consultations, and drafting various legal documents such as pleadings, facta, and affidavits. Additionally, you will be responsible for conducting legal research, overseeing work delegated to students, and representing clients in court hearings and tribunal hearings. As a senior member of the team, you will also have the opportunity to mentor summer law students and articling students. Qualifications and Skills The ideal candidate for this position will possess excellent written and oral communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to handle a variety of litigation files. You should also have a high level of professionalism and excellent business judgment. Additionally, the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team is essential for success in this role. Experience GGFI Law is seeking a candidate with 1-10 years of post-call experience. However, we are open to considering candidates with less experience who possess exceptional skills and a strong passion for the practice of law.
