Discover is seeking a Principal Business Risk Management professional to join our team and provide risk management leadership for key initiatives within our Business Risk Management and Payment Services departments. In this role, you will work cross-functionally with business partners to execute risk management initiatives and actively manage and escalate customer-impacting issues. Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and manage project plans, assess risks, and implement strategies to mitigate risk
- Lead risk management discussions and collaborate effectively with business line management, subject matter experts, and external parties
- Create reporting and dashboards to inform stakeholders on project status
- Advise and coach team members, while providing quality control review of their work
- Actively manage and escalate risk and customer-impacting issues to management

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Law or equivalent
- 6 years of experience in Project Management, Financial Analysis, Credit Analysis, Accounting, Law, Risk or related fields
- In lieu of a degree, 10 years of experience in Financial Analysis, Credit Analysis, Accounting, Law, Risk or related fields

Preferred Qualifications:

- Master's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Law or equivalent
- CPA/CFA certification

Compensation and Benefits:

- Base pay generally ranges between $88,500.00 to $149,300.00, with additional incentives based on eligibility
