Our law firm, known for its exceptional service to both internal and external clients, is seeking an ARC Docketing & Filing Specialist to join our Attorney Resource Center (ARC) team. In this role, you will provide crucial date management and court filing support to our attorneys firm-wide. Salary Information:

- The salary range for this position varies based on location and factors such as experience, education, and licensure/certifications.
- The estimated salary range for our California location is $80,000 - $95,000.

Essential Functions:

- Calendaring/Critical Date Management (Docketing):
- Review and track relevant deadlines for various legal documents.
- Research inquiries from legal and administrative staff regarding deadlines.
- Accurately enter data into the calendaring database according to firm and department standards.
- Perform comprehensive docket review of electronic filing receipts, update system, and distribute to case team members.
- Prioritize and process requests to docket litigation deadlines for clients.
- Maintain case files and adhere to firm policies and procedures.
- Court Filing/Electronic Filing:
- Perform all federal, state, appellate, and administrative electronic filings.
- Research and respond to inquiries regarding court and administrative rules and procedures.
- Review and confirm format, fees, and other logistics for court filings.
- Prioritize and process filing requests from case team members.
- Scan, save, and copy court documents as needed.
- Coordinate with outside vendors for service-of-process and document retrieval from courts.

Qualifications:

- Education:
- Associate's degree preferred.
- Bachelor's degree a plus; relevant work experience may be considered.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years' experience at a law firm or legal/corporate department.
- Previous experience as a paralegal with knowledge of state and federal court filings, drafting pleadings and discovery, and document review.
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Advanced-level knowledge of MS Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with federal and state court rules and electronic filing processes (e.g. Pacer, File and Serve).
- Proficiency in legal terminology and experience in related practice areas.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to summarize information effectively.
- Adaptability to different practice areas and working styles.
- Proficiency with office equipment and keyboarding (60 wpm).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional demeanor and ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and provide outstanding customer service.

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

- This job operates in a clerical, office setting.
- Sedentary work with occasional walking and standing.
- Requires close visual acuity for tasks such as data analysis and transcribing.
