Position Summary: Seeking an experienced Ethics & Compliance attorney to lead Tennant's global Corporate Ethics and compliance program, as well as data privacy compliance. This role will also provide counsel and guidance on compliance requirements, programs, and reporting related to ESG and 3rd-party diligence regulations.

Major Responsibilities:

- Define and provide guidance on global compliance and ethics program, including managing content for ongoing Board of Director reviews
- Monitor legal and regulatory developments, assess impact on stakeholders, and provide implementation strategies
- Identify and mitigate compliance and ethics risks through collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
- Develop and update corporate compliance policies and framework
- Implement and manage internal controls to promote compliance with law and company policy
- Oversee and develop live and online compliance training and communications
- Serve as key advisor for leaders globally on ethics and compliance matters
- Lead third-party due diligence for global sales channels
- Respond to hotline issues and lead internal investigations
- Prepare and draft reports related to compliance filing requirements
- Manage other Legal and Compliance professionals
- Travel domestically and internationally 15%
- Other duties as assigned

Education, Experience, and Qualifications:

- Juris Doctor degree required
- 10 years' experience supporting an in-house compliance function, preferably as part of the Legal Department
- Corporate experience required, public company experience preferred, government/regulatory experience a plus
- Industry recognized certification preferred
- Experience with regulatory and/or litigated compliance matters, including international experience
- Experience with data privacy matters domestically and internationally
- Experience selecting, supervising, and managing outside counsel
- Experience managing other compliance professionals
- Hands-on experience developing and maintaining a robust compliance program
- Strong interpersonal, writing, and communication skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally and with diverse teams
- Ability to articulate complex legal advice to executive and working level audiences
- Experience providing training in a group setting
- Proactive problem solver
