The role of a paralegal at **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW*** (CalBio) is to provide support to the legal team located in Visalia, CA. This position offers a collaborative, supportive, and creative work environment as the company is experiencing expansion due to its success. As a leader in the development of dairy digester projects for renewable vehicle fuel and electricity, CalBio works closely with local dairy farmers and various government agencies to reduce greenhouse gases and protect air and water quality while creating local jobs and providing benefits to the dairy industry. The paralegal will play a crucial role in supporting the company's legal needs and will have the opportunity to work with senior management, outside counsel, and other administrative staff.

Key Responsibilities:

- Support senior management in reviewing legal documents and conducting legal research and analysis.
- Coordinate the preparation of legal documents and collaborate with third-party attorneys to represent the company's interests.
- Draft routine legal documents and correspondence, with the assistance of third-party attorneys as needed.
- Assist in litigation matters by responding to discovery requests and conducting research.
- Plan, organize, and track legal programs and projects for the company.
- Establish strong relationships with outside counsel, lenders, and other administrative staff.
- Manage real estate document development and ensure all necessary documents are in place for projects.
- Assist in developing and managing construction and operation contracts.
- Aid in the development of grant packages when available.
- Maintain legal records and ensure compliance with record retention requirements.

- Knowledge of legal proceedings and research methods.
- Understanding of attorney-client relationships in real estate transactions.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized with great attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work well in a team and manage confidential legal documents.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- Completion of an approved paralegal program.
- Minimum of two years' experience as a paralegal.
- Preferred completion of State Bar validated standard tests for the position.

Salary: Dependent on experience.
