We specialize in defending employers in workers' compensation cases and defendants in general liability matters. Our firm has a strong presence in eight states and continues to grow. Job Title: Workers Compensation Attorney Job Type: Full-time Responsibilities: - Reviewing medical evidence and records - Conducting depositions - Performing legal research - Drafting legal documents - Litigating cases - Representing clients at hearings, trials, and other proceedings - Communicating with claims representatives - Monitoring loss run reports and managing workers' compensation costs - Assisting with accident investigations - Compiling and submitting reports - Negotiating settlements on behalf of clients Qualifications: - J.D. and license in Missouri and Kansas (or eligibility for reciprocity) - Minimum of 3-7 years experience in workers' compensation defense (general litigation experience is a plus) - Strong knowledge of legal principles and practices - Familiarity with local, state, and federal laws and regulations - Proficiency in legal research and terminology - Experience with Microsoft Word and legal software (Time Matters preferred) - Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and administrative skills - Attention to detail and ability to multi-task - Self-motivated and able to meet deadlines under pressure - Team player with the ability to work independently - Strong organization, planning, and dependability skills - Commitment to confidentiality for both firm and clients Additional Information: - Competitive salary and benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and retirement plan with company match - All information will be kept confidential in accordance with EEO guidelines Keywords: Workers Compensation Attorney, Law Firm, Defense, General Liability, Midwest, Full-time, 3-7 years experience, Missouri, Kansas, Legal Research, Litigation, Negotiation, Confidentiality, Benefits. |
