2024 Summer Associate SumRidge Software Developer
Woodstown, NJ 2024 Summer Associate Software Developer, In-Person (Jersey City, NJ) - 2303463 Raymond James Financial is currently seeking a 2024 Summer Associate Software Developer for our Jersey City, NJ headquarters. In this role, you will work on specific projects within the technology department, collaborating with the trading and sales teams and gaining exposure to various web-based and standalone trading applications. This is a temporary role, with a work schedule of up to 40 hours per week for a limited time, determined by department need. Key Responsibilities: - Communicate with trading and sales teams and work on fixed income data pipelines - Collaborate with senior members of the technology team on web-based and standalone trading applications - Learn about fixed income and communicate with traders and sales - Work independently on assigned projects and tasks, meeting all delivery deadlines - Operate standard office equipment and use required software applications - Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned Qualifications: - Currently pursuing a BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field - Strong knowledge of programming languages, specifically Java or C# - Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and web development - Experience with Spring framework and/or JavaScript framework is a plus - Familiarity with Relational DB and at least 1 year of experience writing SQL queries - Ability to solve problems systematically, multi-task, and work as part of a team - Self-motivated with systematic problem-solving ability - Comfortable multi-tasking and working as part of a team Education and Experience Requirements: - Equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or training approved by Human Resources - No required licenses or certifications Location: This is an in-person position at our Jersey City, NJ headquarters.
