Summary:

BDO is seeking a highly experienced and qualified Tax Senior Manager for their Core Tax Services team in Cleveland, OH. This role will be responsible for advising clients on tax implications, evaluating and selecting alternative actions to lessen tax burden, and acting as the primary client contact for complex tax issues. The Senior Manager will also be a critical member of the office/region leadership team and participate in marketing, networking, and business development. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Statistics, with a Master's degree in Accountancy or Taxation preferred. They should have at least 8 years of relevant tax experience and prior supervisory experience. CPA certification, Attorney or Internal Revenue Service Enrolled Agent designation is required. Strong communication, delegation, and analytical skills are essential for this role. The salary for this position ranges from $135,000 to $200,000, depending on factors such as qualifications, experience, skills, and location. Job Duties:

- Tax Compliance: Ensuring clients comply with all applicable authorities and minimizing their tax and reporting burdens, while also complying with Firm policies and standards.
- Research: Identifying when research is needed and effectively communicating the analysis.
- ASC 740-10 (FAS 109 and FIN 48) Tax Accruals: Applying Firm policies and standards regarding FAS 109 and FIN 48.
- Tax Consulting: Assisting with developing and implementing efficient and effective methods to minimize taxes for clients.
- Tax Specialization: Developing a deep understanding of technical and practical tax issues in one or more areas of taxation.
- Strategy Development: Introducing new ideas to improve client and Firm position.
- Other duties as required.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

- Supervising associates and senior associates, reviewing their work, providing feedback, and managing their workload.
- Acting as a Career Advisor to associates and senior associates.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Statistics; Master's degree in Accountancy or Taxation preferred.
- 8 years of relevant tax experience, with industry expertise in one or more tax specialty preferred.
- Prior supervisory experience required.
- CPA certification, Attorney, or Internal Revenue Service Enrolled Agent designation required.
- Strong communication, delegation, and analytical skills.
- Ability to develop and maintain client relationships.

Salary Information:

- California Range: $146,000 - $200,000
- Colorado Range: $135,000 - $165,000
- New York City/Valhalla Range: $140,000 - $200,000
- Washington Range: $150,000 - $190,000
