Accounting Manager
Pensacola, FL Must be detail-oriented, organized, and able to work in a fast-paced environment. Salary information: - Base pay of $50,000-$60,000 per year - Dependent on experience and education level Job title: - Accounting Manager Experience information: - Associate or bachelor's degree in accounting preferred - Prior law firm accounting experience preferred Law Firm Seeking Experienced Accounting Manager H1: Join Our Team at Emmanuel, Sheppard and Condon as an Accounting Manager H2: Essential Duties and Responsibilities for Accounting Manager Position As an Accounting Manager at Emmanuel, Sheppard and Condon, you will be responsible for providing accounts payable and other accounting services for the firm. We are seeking an experienced individual with a degree in accounting and prior law firm accounting experience. Duties and Responsibilities: - Process and file accounts payable for the firm on a weekly basis - Handle daily check requests - Verify trust settlement statements and issue trust checks - Track and process monthly recurring payables and reimbursements - Reconcile and pay multiple monthly credit card statements - Process incoming credit card payments - Prepare annual 1099 interest reporting and 1099 Miscellaneous/NEC reporting - Assist with new matter openings and closings for the firm - Reconcile various general ledgers and money market accounts - Prepare monthly sales tax report and payment - Circulate and distribute library orders - Assist in year-end closing and provide reports to CPA - Assist with budget planning - Assist Accounts Receivable with monthly billing tasks and attorney time entry - Other duties as assigned Requirements: - Associate or bachelor's degree in accounting preferred - Prior law firm accounting experience preferred - Knowledge of basic accounting principles - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and 10-key machines - Familiarity with Juris accounting software is a plus - Strong interpersonal and communication skills - Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work in a fast-paced environment Salary Information: - Base pay of $50,000-$60,000 per year - Dependent on experience and education level Join our team at Emmanuel, Sheppard and Condon as an Accounting Manager and utilize your skills and experience to contribute to the success of our firm.
