Job Summary:

This position will be full-time, 40 hours per week, with a flexible schedule and the option for one remote day per week. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in personal injury or workers compensation, as well as strong knowledge and proficiency in MS Office, legal terminology, and client management systems. The Paralegal will work closely with our attorneys to prepare legal documents, conduct research, and initiate legal action. Position Requirements:

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:

- At least 5 years of experience in Plaintiff's personal injury or workers compensation
- Strong knowledge and proficiency in MS Office, legal terminology, and client management systems
- Ability to type quickly and accurately
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Self-motivated and well-organized
- Punctual and reliable attendance
- Must be able to perform job duties in the office
- Physical requirements include lifting up to 30 lbs and ability to sit, stand, reach, kneel, and lift objects above head-height

Position Duties:

The Personal Injury Paralegal will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including but not limited to:

- Analyzing and summarizing medical bills and records
- Identifying liens and subrogation claims
- Preparing and formatting basic discovery
- Drafting legal documents, such as briefs, motions, pleadings, and contracts
- Conducting legal research and investigating facts and law of cases
- Maintaining trial docket and ensuring attorneys have all necessary information before a trial date
- Communicating with clients and responding to their inquiries
- Calendaring hearings and deadlines
- Performing clerical and receptionist duties as needed

Education and Certifications:

Candidates for this position must meet the following education and certification requirements:

- Associates or bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies or similar field
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check
- Paralegal Certificate is a plus
- MO/IL Notary Public is a plus
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
