Litigation Attorney
Sarasota, FL Position Title: Litigation Attorney Location: Sarasota, Florida Employment Type: Full Time Salary: Market leading compensation package Overview Williams Parker is a progressive, inclusive, and culturally-rich law firm that is actively seeking a Litigation Attorney with significant trial experience to join our client-centric team and guide clients through pre-litigation, administrative proceedings, mediations, arbitrations, trial, post-trial, and the totality of the litigation process. Position Summary At Williams Parker, our cadre of litigation attorneys provide clients the dedication, attention and service of a boutique firm, while also affording the experience and resources of a large firm. Our trust and estate litigators are skilled in the unique rules and procedures that apply when estate and trust administrations are challenged and are supported by our sophisticated estate-planning department. We work with fiduciaries, beneficiaries, and other interested parties in matters involving trusts and wills, accounting actions, breach of fiduciary duty claims, reformation suits, estate and trust administration disputes, as well as other fiduciary litigation. This is a role that requires accuracy, efficiency, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, collegial, and high-volume environment. It requires an individual who readily adapts to changing priorities and business needs while being proactive and creative in identifying areas of need and demonstrating agility to execute action plans. Requirements A proven track record of winning, including serving as first chair on jury trials, in a broad spectrum of legal matters Ability to organize and assemble information gathered during discovery for thoughtful presentation at trial Professional courtroom presence and desire to try cases Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to draft, negotiate, and interpret a variety of documents; effectively build relationships with investigators, expert witnesses, opposing counsel; and convey complex concepts in a concise and understandable manner Enthusiastic attitude with demonstrated initiative, reliability, and an exceptional drive for results Ability to work independently and under tight timelines, and to plan and prioritize multiple tasks Dedication to client service excellence in a fast-paced, collegial, and engaging environment JD and member of the Florida Bar, in good standing Please include a document with your resume submission which details of your jury trial experience and wins, noting which you served as first chair.
