Hiring a Corporate-Transactions Associate/ Senior Associate in Scotland

Law Firm is looking for a bright and commercially focused Associate or Senior Associate to join its highly regarded Corporate Team in the Edinburgh office. The successful candidate will have the opportunity for cross border work and international transactions across key industry sectors, as well as working for excellent clients across the Scotland and UK market.

Job Responsibilities:

- Drafting principal documents for Mergers and Acquisitions, Private Equity and Venture Capital investments and Equity Capital Markets transactions
- Providing efficient professional support to partners
- Developing professional client relationships
- Supporting the wider team in developing business and raising the profile of the firm
- Involvement in marketing events
- Managing and supervising the work of others including junior associates and trainees

Job Requirements:

- Excellent drafting skills
- Ability to lead and project manage transactional work
- Ability to translate legal theory into practical advice
- Sound judgement and good interpersonal and consultancy skills
- An appropriate level of post qualification experience (we anticipate a minimum of 4 PQE) in a leading law firm
- Ability to communicate clearly and succinctly with clients
