Raleigh, NC # Patent Agent (Biotechnology) Law firm is seeking an experienced Patent Agent (Biotechnology) to join their Raleigh office. The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. in organic chemistry, medicinal chemistry, or a closely related discipline and demonstrate strong technical skills, excellent writing skills, exceptional attention to technical detail, and effective communication and organizational skills. ## Job Description The Patent Agent (Biotechnology) will be responsible for: * Identifying inventions through technical discussions with inventors * Drafting and prosecuting patent applications directed to emerging technologies * Coordinating prosecution of patent applications in other jurisdictions * Conducting searches to distinguish inventions from the current state of the art * Preparing reports and other support documentation to assist in the management of patent portfolios ## Qualifications * Ph.D. in organic chemistry, medicinal chemistry, or a closely related discipline * Strong technical skills * Excellent writing skills * Exceptional attention to technical detail * Effective communication and organizational skills ## Salary Salary for this position will be commensurate with experience. ## Application To be considered for the position, please click here to submit your application.
