**MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW*** (BLH) is a nationally recognized boutique law firm, with areas of practice including civil rights, employment, entertainment law, family law, criminal defense, real estate, and estate planning. In the summer of 2024, BLH is offering a Summer Associate Program in the civil rights practice for second-year law students.

### Program Overview

The BLH Summer Associate Program is designed to provide an individualized experience for each participant. Summer Associates will have the opportunity to assist attorneys in all stages of federal and state civil rights litigation, including:

* Legal research and memo writing
* Drafting pleadings, motions, and other court filings
* Conducting intake interviews
* Accompanying attorneys at court appearances and depositions

### Qualifications

Applicants must have a demonstrated commitment to civil liberties or civil rights.

### Application Process

Applications should include a cover letter detailing the applicant’s interest in civil rights, a resume, transcript, and brief writing sample. ### Public Interest Funding

Because Summer Associates will be working exclusively on civil rights matters, BLH typically qualifies for public interest funding through law schools and other public interest funding sources. Please consult with your law school prior to applying.

### Salary

The salary for the Summer Associate in Civil Rights Program at BLH is competitive and commensurate with experience.
