Patent Attorney
Cedar Rapids, IA Law Firm is seeking an experienced Patent Attorney for our Intellectual Property Practice Law Firm is looking for a Patent Attorney to join our intellectual property practice. The Patent Attorney will be responsible for day-to-day tasks associated with patent law, including filing and prosecuting patents, rendering patentability and clearance opinions, drafting patent applications, performing due diligence and other related legal services. The successful candidate will be an experienced and knowledgeable Patent Attorney with expertise in Patent Law, Patent Preparation, and Patent Applications, as well as experience in patentability and due diligence assessment. We are looking for a Patent Attorney who is an excellent communicator and has strong analytical skills. Additionally, the ideal candidate will be able to work independently with minimal supervision, and have the ability to work collaboratively with both clients and colleagues. Experience with intellectual property litigation is a plus. Qualifications: Admission to a state bar and registration with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office is required At least 3 years of experience in patent prosecution is preferred Expertise in Patent Law, Patent Preparation, and Patent Applications Experience in patentability and due diligence assessment Excellent communication and analytical skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong teamwork skills with ability to work collaboratively with clients and colleagues Experience with intellectual property litigation is a plus Salary Salary will be commensurate with experience. Location This is a full-time on-site role for a Patent Attorney located in Des Moines or Cedar Rapids, IA.
