Who We Are BioMarin\u2019s Technical Operations group is responsible for creating our drugs for use in clinical trials and for scaling production of those drugs for the commercial market. These engineers, technicians, scientists and support staff build and maintain BioMarin\u2019s cutting-edge manufacturing processes and sites, provide quality assurance and quality control to ensure we meet regulatory standards, and procure the needed goods and services to support manufacturing and coordinating the worldwide movement of our drugs to patients. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES\u00A0\u00A0\u00A0Leadership\u00A0\u00A0-Accountable for the daily operations in area, requiring effective communication to make appropriate decisions, trouble shooting, and schedule adherences with minimal oversight\u00A0\u00A0-Accomplishes tasks through direct and effective coordination\u00A0\u00A0-Provides direction and hands-on training for staff\u00A0\u00A0-Supports the management of staff\u00A0\u00A0-Lives department values and sets the standards for others to operate\u00A0\u00A0-Fosters an environment of compliance, strong work ethic and ongoing learning\u00A0\u00A0\u00A0Contribution\u00A0\u00A0-Ability to take responsibility for complex projects\u00A0\u00A0-Effective interaction with peer Leads across manufacturing to create alignment and improvement\u00A0\u00A0-Partners with support groups (Facilities, Validation, Quality, Automation, and Instrumentation) to complete scheduled activities\u00A0\u00A0\u00A0Process Knowledge\u00A0\u00A0-Strong knowledge and experience in all aspects of relevant process theory, equipment, and compliance\u00A0\u00A0-Ability to troubleshoot, identify issues and support resolutions with technical groups\u00A0\u00A0-Required to perform ongoing operational tasks in respective work area\u00A0\u00A0-Uses scientific thinking and decision making in daily work\u00A0\u00A0\u00A0Technical Competency\u00A0\u00A0-Proven experience with relevant process, theory and equipment\u00A0\u00A0-Experience with process automation and functionality\u00A0\u00A0-Assist with review and approval of documentation including Batch Records and logbooks\u00A0\u00A0\u00A0Technical Documentation\u00A0\u00A0-Provide feedback and/or suggested changes to operational procedures\u00A0\u00A0-Assist in the incorporation of new technologies, practices and standards into procedures\u00A0\u00A0-Capable of writing and reviewing process documents\u00A0\u00A0\u00A0Quality and Compliance\u00A0\u00A0-Complete understanding and adherence to cGMP\u2019s as related to commercial operations\u00A0\u00A0-Support the closure of manufacturing discrepancies and change requests\u00A0\u00A0-Experience with business systems (Process historian, LIMS, Trackwise, ERP, MES, etc.)\u00A0\u00A0Shift details: Sun-Tues; alternate Weds, 1800-0700\u00A0**We do provide Shift Differential pay for any off-hour shifts including Swing and Grave**\u00A0\u00A0EDUCATION\u00A0\u00A0-Bachelor\u2019s degree in science related area or engineering or Associate\u2019s degree in science related area or Biotech certificate with 2 years of experience in a biotech manufacturing environment or other regulated industry\u00A0\u00A0WORK\u202FENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS\u00A0\u00A0-Consists of strenuous, repetitive work.
