Sr. Manager, International Logistics and Customs Compliance

SR. MANAGER, INTERNATIONAL LOGISTICS AND CUSTOMS COMPLIANCE

The Global Supply Chain Team is responsible for the operations and strategic direction of transportation and distribution of merchandise through **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***'s multi-channel supply chain.  The Sr. Manager of International Logistics and Customs Compliance will be responsible for day-to-day tracking, reconciliation, and exception reporting related to the movement of our goods throughout the International portions supply chain.  The Sr. Manager of International Logistics and Customs Compliance will manage Global imports, collaborating with our expansive vendor base, our Global Logistics Provider, our partner carriers and our customs broker.  The Sr. Manager of International Logistics and Customs Compliance will also collaborate closely with our Production and Sourcing Teams to ensure we continue to provide the most efficient, cost effective, and flexible Logistics network as our sourcing locations evolve and change. 

 ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Oversee the international logistics program including Global Logistics Provider, ocean/air carriers & freight forwarders and contracts. Negotiates sea and airfreight rates and contracts with carriers

*Develop and implement KPIs for all aspects of International Logistics, to ensure timely and cost-effective shipment of our goods. *Facilitate quarterly performance management and improvement, annual RFP/negotiation, and operational processes design. This includes developing industry relationships and knowledge of markets to facilitate **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW*** growth and low-cost position. *Monitor lead times with respect to Logistics and develop accurate and timely methods to call out exception POs when transit times exceed expectations. *Proactively project capacity requirements for all external stakeholders including ocean, air, dray and deconsolidation facilities to ensure coverage and forward planning  *Collaborate with key internal stakeholders (Production/Sourcing, Allocation, Distribution, Finance, IT) to drive efficiencies and continuous improvement, streamlining of processes, and cost improvements as it relates to International Logistics. *Effectively communicate cost changes, shipment issues, supply concerns that create challenges and successes to leadership *Conduct root cause analysis for all service failure to avoid future occurrence *Develop and monitor International Vendor Routing Guide for suppliers. *Manage and control the Company's Customs Compliance and Duty Management programs,  including (but not limited to) import/export operations, HTS classification, First Sale, duty drawback, Free Trade Agreements, and other programs *Maintain and publish operational metrics relevant to Customs *Identify and champion continuous improvement projects and ensure corrective actions are implemented, when necessary *Act as main point of contact in the event of an external audit and manage relationships with various U.S. and Canadian local Customs *Oversee Customs brokerage and third-party provider activities *Support Customs related escalations *Create and maintain detailed financial reporting on all import activities including order management, logistics and shipping, and customs compliance.

 EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

*Bachelor's Degree required (or equivalent work experience) *8 years of relevant industry experience with focus on project management, cross functional implementation, and supply chain operations *Supply chain management, customs, 3PL, and retail, especially fashion/soft lines, experience a plus *Microsoft Office skills required with strong Excel and Access skills preferred *Must be able to travel domestically and internationally
