Associate Technical Designer - Woven Tops & Shirts
Long Island City, NY Overview: Assist Technical Designer with preparing samples from vendors in order to execute the technical fitting process. Responsibilities: *Measure incoming garments against vendor supplied measurements. *Prepare and track samples and counter samples and make sure approval dates are met. *Assisting Technical Designer in technical fittings by preparing samples, taking notes, completing fit lists, and model booking. *Maintain tech log and tech packs under the direction of the Technical Designer. *Generate detailed sketch and tech packs. Able to communicate to factories in various methods, i.e. pattern correction, digital photos, technical sketches, technical notes and garment construction. *Strong attention to details and accuracy *Team player, is receptive to direction, collaborate with designer, production, merchants and overseas vendor. *Daily communication with overseas and internal departments. *Other responsibilities will vary according to department to department needs and special projects being handled by the manager.
