Warehouse Associate (Distribution Center - Asheville NC)
Arden, NC DISTRIBUTION CENTER ASSOCIATE (WAREHOUSE WORKER) J. CREW IS HIRING TEMPORARY FULL-TIME ROLES ON 1ST SHIFT THROUGH A LOCAL STAFFING AGENCY. THESE POSITIONS HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO BE HIRED ON DIRECTLY WITH J. CREW BASED ON BUSINESS NEEDS AND PERFORMANCE/ATTENDANCE. PAY RATE: $13.00PER HOUR DESCRIPTION: *Picks/packs, inspects, ships merchandise to customers *Accurately performs data entry via PC/RF *Achieves production (UPH) standards in all areas *Achieves quality (IQA) standards in all areas *Works with team members in support of process improvements and cost reductions *Understands team objectives within assigned work area *Applies basic skills and procedural knowledge within assigned work area *Completes other duties as assigned by supervisor *Must be able to assist in any area of merchandise processing during busy period *Must be able to: *Lift, carry, push, pull, reach, grasp, bend, stoop for up to 10 hours at a time *Climb stairs *Stand for duration of work shift and walk/move continuously *Work around moving machinery/equipment (i.e. a sorter) *Adjust to climate changes; hot and cold extremes may occur in warehouse *Perform frequent/reoccurring movement (folding, hanging clothing, packing, closing, ticketing, wrapping, etc.) *Lift up to 50 pounds several times per day; weight requirements may vary within work areas; perform overhead lifting as necessary *Work comfortably on open platform/loft areas that are elevated to a second or third story level QUALIFICATIONS: *Must be at least 18 years old *Basic math skills *Good hand/eye coordination *Ability to work independently or in team as assigned *Quality conscious and detail oriented *Understand and follow verbal or written instructions *Some positions require the ability to use and read measuring tools, ex. tape measure *Flexibility - may be required to work in other areas, overtime or extended hours We are committed to affirmatively providing equal opportunity to all associates and qualified applicants without regard to race, color, ancestry, national origin, religion, sex, marital status, age, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, legally protected physical or mental disability or any other basis protected under applicable law. |
