MANAGER - CENTRAL PROCUREMENT AND PROFIT IMPROVEMENT

BACKGROUND:This position is responsible for leading value generation sourcing and profitability improvement initiatives to optimize **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***'s non-merchandise spend, areas of expertise include logistics, transportation and a general overview of indirect procurement. 

*The ideal candidate will possess:

*4 years of experience leading strategic sourcing and operational/value generating initiatives *knowledge and expertise across various indirect categories and *the strategic, analytical, and interpersonal skills to act as a change agent  *Excellent analytical skills, communication skills, business acumen, influencing skills, and the ability to work in a team environment are also critical

KEY POSITION OBJECTIVES:

*Responsible for identifying and developing business cases for new cost optimization and profit improvement opportunities *Lead cross-functional teams to implement strategic sourcing and profit improvement initiatives *Provides category expertise on several categories

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

*Leverage spend analytics and market intelligence to build business cases and should cost models for profit improvement opportunities *Execute strategic sourcing projects utilizing best practice sourcing methodology to deliver exceptional total cost value and supply assurance *Drive continuous improvement via post project sourcing performance reviews  *Identify and capture profit improvement opportunities beyond sourcing, such as demand management, process improvements, insource vs. outsource, etc. *Gather requirements and specifications from business and category experts to ensure that proposed solutions meet business needs *Assess supplier capabilities and identify new sources of supply  *Develop sourcing strategies based on baseline data, market dynamics and business requirements  *Manages the planning and launch of RFx events, leveraging eSourcing tools as appropriate *Analyze supplier proposals and facilitate fact-based supplier selection process *Supports negotiation strategy development and execution *Negotiate contract terms and coordinate with Legal to execute contracts *Develop transition plan to new supplier and support implementation  *Work with suppliers and key stakeholders to manage supplier performance *Buid and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders

QUALIFICATIONS:

*Minimum 4 years of relevant experience  (e.g., consulting, procurement, marketing procurement) *Experience with opportunity diagnostic, purchase to pay  (P2P) and procurement transformation, strategic sourcing, commodity management, supplier management, and contract management  *Ability to lead and influence change in the face of complexity and ambiguity and chart a critical path *Demonstrated analytical, problem solving, organization, and project management skills   *Ability to drive projects with a sense of urgency and perform in fast paced, dynamic organization with time sensititive deadlines *Ability to interact effectively with all levels of management *Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills  *Knowledge of technology applications enabling procurement and strategic sourcing  *Self-starter with ability to work independently with minimal supervision  *Excellent skills in Powerpoint, Word, Excel and Access required
