ROLE: Brand Marketing Director, Omni Operations & Experience

REPORTS TO: Vice President, Brand Marketing

OVERVIEW:

Madewell is looking for a passionate, highly motivated brand marketer that excels in translating brand positioning into an effective marketing strategy. The ideal candidate is curious about where the industry is heading and dedicated to finding new ways to grow brands in an changing retail landscape.

This role will be digital focused and charged with connecting our brand strategy and business objectives to our new customer goals, customers' expectations, engagement behaviors and purchase patterns. Omni-channel marketing is a highly collaborative practice partnering closely with marketing leaders, analytics, brand strategy, media, and creative partners. 

They will be responsible for planning and delivering a marketing strategy that drives customer growth and engagement across a range of marketing tactics. Key areas of focus include establishing brand marketing strategy and roadmap, campaign execution and engagement through our store and social touchpoints.

We seek a collaborative and execution-oriented manager to build the future of omni-channel marketing.  This is a highly visible role that requires collaboration across marketing, creative, planning, merchandising and production. Success will be measured based on the execution of a compelling always-on marketing strategy as well as the innovative and new opportunities they bring to their work.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

*Develop brand marketing strategies that support business goals, with a focus on customer growth, perception and engagement *Identify and create distinct marketing strategies for key areas of growth including new category and customer opportunities *Establish brand health and marketing success metrics, routinely track for marketing teams and report out to leadership *Track the retail landscape, competitive environment, and consumer trends to ensure relevancy and position the Madewell brand as a leader in the industry - work with internal and external partners to compile an assessment of industry trends, identify new marketing tactics to integrate into our strategy *Continuously evolve Madewell brand positioning based on insights to ensure relevancy among customers and in the industry *Translate business goals and marketing tactics into a comprehensive strategy that drives customer growth in key segments and brand affinity across new and existing customers, work closely with cross functional and marketing partners to create a roadmap for execution *Grow brand awareness with a disruptive brand media distribution strategy geared towards new customer growth *Lead seasonal planning process and establish quarterly brand roadmap that tracks all marketing tactics and ensure all efforts ladder up to key marketing focus *Lead quarterly, full funnel reporting for marketing teams in close collaboration with brand and digital team leads *Oversee store marketing team, drive experience and customer engagement *Oversee social community team, drive engagement and reach through content, events and platform opportunities *Oversee brand marketing budget

QUALIFICATIONS:

*Master's or Bachelor's Degree *8-10 years of work experience *Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
