**MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW*** seeks an open-rank full-time faculty member for a leadership appointment to the Healthcare Administration program. Healthcare Administration degrees are offered 100% online at the undergraduate and graduate levels. King is a Christian liberal arts institution located in the picturesque foothills of East Tennessee and values free expression and respectful dialogue in a spirit of Christian love and inclusiveness. King maintains a collegial faculty from a cross-section of Christian traditions and students and faculty members often develop deep connections with one another. The integration of faith and learning is central to King’s mission and applicants should be professing Christians who can articulate their faith and its influence on the vocation of teaching the discipline. These curricula are designed to prepare students for leadership roles in the healthcare industry by providing a solid foundation in both healthcare and business-related concepts. Subjects include management and leadership, healthcare policy, financial principles of healthcare organizations, quality management and outcomes, data-driven decision-making and informatics, human resource management, epidemiology, community-based and population-based health concepts, research and evidence-based practice, marketing strategies, professionalism, and communication. At **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***, faculty members work collaboratively to provide high-quality, academic experiences for students in a supportive, Christ-centered environment. The program coordinator will work closely with the other academic team members to ensure that students receive the assistance, tools, and resources needed to be successful as they move toward their educational and professional goals. This full-time, twelve-month position is set to commence in the fall of 2024.
Minimum Qualifications:
Doctorate in a healthcare-related discipline from an accredited institution; Extensive experience in healthcare leadership roles; Ability to teach across the curriculum; A commitment to advising and mentoring students; A dedication to continuing professional development; A profession of Christian faith; Strong interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in teaching online and curriculum development at the higher education level; Familiarity with healthcare services and needs within the region of Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia; Proficiency with the Canvas learning management system.
Responsibilities:
Provide leadership, supervision, mentorship, and course instruction; Recruit and support part-time faculty as needed; Design and update courses within the healthcare administration curriculum; Collaborate across academic disciplines; Serve on academic and program committees; Ensure that academic catalog entries for the program are correct and up to date; Prepare course offering schedules and assign instructors; Evaluate student learning outcomes and develop action plans as needed; Collect and report program-specific data as requested; Demonstrate active scholarly interests in issues pertinent to healthcare; Effectively and confidently communicate with individuals and groups about recruitment initiatives and instructional requirements; Report directly to the Dean of the School of Health and Professional Sciences; Remote work is an option.
