Description:
The Director of Advancement Services provides support through data and analytics for the entire Advancement department.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ experience in development, University administration, or a related field with a proven record of solid performance.
• Education: A bachelor’s degree is required but master’s degree is preferred.
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; demonstrated expertise in interacting with warmth and enthusiasm with a diverse and sophisticated prospect pool.
• Leadership Skills: The Director will be goal-oriented, with a strong understanding of effective development and/or sales techniques.
• Level of Independence: High level of ability to work independently and able to prioritize the work.
• Computer Skills: Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Schedule Flexibility: Be able to work some evenings and weekends.
• Physical Exertion Requirements: Light Heavy work as defined by the Bureau of Labor Statistics
• Driving History: Must qualify to drive a University owned vehicle.

Responsibilities:
• Manage all data oversight to assist Advancement employees in their particular duties including but not limited to:
o Aspects of donor information so that any relationship may be enhanced through more prospecting, cultivating, and soliciting.
o Weekly gift batch processing as well as the monthly reconciliation for the department.
o Pledge reminders as well as various reporting for Advancement.
o Pulling lists of constituents for various Advancement needs and events including mailed solicitations.
o Assisting Advancement staff in setting up and managing online giving campaigns.
o Assisting the Assistant Vice President for Advancement in managing scholarships and helping with the annual Scholarship Thanking Program.
o Assisting the Advancement staff in regards to data needs for Annual Fund fundraising including phonathon, athletic appeals, mailed solicitations, etc.
• Exercise extreme attention to detail, reviewing for accuracy all information that flows through Advancement.
• Remain abreast of key calendar events, represent King Advancement at various community events when necessary; Attend Alumni and Advancement events as needed.
