Mechanical/Structural Engineering Intern
Summary This position primarily supports the Worthington Industries AMTROL commercial water tanks. This is a great position to get exposure to the design process and creating of production documents. The position will include creation of 3D models and production drawings. The position will also have some opportunities for analysis under ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code Section VIII Division 1 rules. The skills listed below are not fully required, but would need to be developed within the position. Responsibilities Assist in modeling and drafting of individual parts and assemblies for production Creation of bill of materials to support production Analysis of existing and new designs Assist in performance of various laboratory tests Desired Experience Sophomore level or above Computer: MS Office (Excel, Word) Familiar with statics, principals of stress and strain. Familiar with 3D and 2D modeling/drafting software (AutoCad, SOLIDWORKS) Process oriented Industrious Professional Interpersonal skills |
