JOB OVERVIEW
The James L. Winkle College of Pharmacy, University of Cincinnati, invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level in the Division of Pharmaceutical Sciences. We seek an interdisciplinary scientist with expertise in neuropharmacology. Research areas of particular interest include neuroinflammatory processes, neurodegenerative disorders or substance abuse. The College is located in the heart of the Academic Health Center, providing modern infrastructure and ample opportunities for collaborations with both basic and clinical programs, including **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW*** Gardner Neuroscience Institute and Neurobiology Research Center.

Faculty members are expected to develop/maintain a competitive, externally-funded research program, have a strong commitment to graduate and professional education (MS/PhD and PharmD programs), and contribute to our vigorous collaborative environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
*Conduct and teach assigned undergraduate and/or graduate-level courses and seminars. *Attend meetings, participate in governance, prepare materials for teaching. *Evaluate and develop curriculum for department and/or college. *Serve as an academic adviser for students and evaluate student coursework. *Serve on college or university committees and participate in curriculum development activities. *Serve on graduate committees, supervise laboratories (where appropriate), *Independent study activities, and off-campus learning. *Engage in other activities ancillary to or in support of his or her responsibilities. *Render service to the professional or lay community which is relevant to the individual's academic specialty. *Review, and where necessary, respond in a timely manner to all university-related communications. *Other related duties as assigned
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
PhD, MD, or equivalent degree in Pharmacology or related field; minimum of 2 years of postdoctoral experience; and evidence of significant and relevant research accomplishments.

REQUIRED EDUCATION
Doctorate or terminal degree from a regionally accredited college or university of recognized standing in a field appropriate to the requirements of the position. For positions within Performing and Studio Arts or Nursing, an appropriate Master's degree may replace the Doctoral requirement.
