JOB OVERVIEW
**MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***'s College of Engineering and Applied Science is accepting applications for a Director of Marketing and Communications. This position will direct the planning, developing and implementing publications, marketing campaigns, promotional campaigns, communications, market research and public relations services for the college or unit which will include print, web and other media. 
The CEAS Director of Marketing and Communications will be expected to develop and lead a clear, directional marketing strategy by crafting marketing goals and KPIs for the office. The incumbent will champion and advance the image of the CEAS by directing, managing, executing, and measuring strategic external and internal communications. The director will oversee the creation, implementation, analysis, evaluation, and modification of all strategic communications plans that align with the University's internal and external branding, marketing, and strategic content marketing initiatives.
The Director of Marketing and Communications will be responsible to stay abreast of technological advances and marketing best practices and recommend alternatives to innovate existing processes. The director will collaborate with appropriate offices to ensure design and production of printed materials are in line with university brand standards.
The director will leverage CEAS resources and orchestrate opportunities to support strategic partnerships with key stakeholders. The Director will lead and direct partnerships with CEAS' admissions offices, graduate and undergraduate offices; manage content and promotional needs and general support for other college offices/units.

This position will offer flexibility for a hybrid remote work option for applicants with a residence within the Cincinnati Tri-State Area. Hybrid remote work arrangements are subject to change in accordance with university policies.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
*Direct, develop and implement marketing strategies and plans. *Develop and coordinate public relations, serve as liaison with UC public relations, press and media. *Collect and analyze data needed to track activities by promotional effort (i.e., customer service assessment, benchmarks, market research, etc.). *Oversee the coordination of college or unit special events. *Serve as liaison for various vendors and contract operations. *Develop and administer appropriate policies and procedures. *Serve as member on university-wide, community and industry committees and/or meetings. *Manage budgets and other resources for the functional areas assigned. *May provide direct and/or indirect supervision to exempt and non-exempt staff (i.e., hiring/firing, performance evaluations, disciplinary action, approve time off, etc.).
REQUIRED EDUCATION
Bachelor's Degree in communications, marketing, public relations, or an associated field.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
*Seven (7) years of relevant experience. *Three (3) years supervision.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS CONSIDERED

*Strong writing skills, familiarity with AP Style.  *Managing a marketing budget. *Developing and reporting KPIs. *Experience writing content for various strategic communications, media, external outreach and partnership needs, audiences, and publication formats. *Experience in Higher Education/government/corporate relations. *Master's Degree in communications, marketing & public relations.
