The College of Medicine, Department of Emergency Medicine, is seeking to fill two (2) Assistant Professor of Clinical, GEO positions. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Clinician/Teacher: *Demonstrated interest and accomplishment in emergency medicine clinical patient care. *Demonstration of interest and accomplishment in bedside clinical teaching of medical students and residents (emergency medicine as well as other clinical services) is necessary. *Academic productivity such as original research papers, abstracts, and chapters is also preferable. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS *Emergency medicine residency training of 4 years or the equivalence by experience. *Board Certification in Emergency Medicine or eligibility by training. *One (1) year in an academic setting or equivalent teaching and research experience. ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS CONSIDERED *Demonstrated interest and accomplishment in emergency medicine clinical patient care. *The ideal individual will have demonstrated leadership skills; chief residency training or similar accomplishment during residency training is ideal. *Demonstration of interest and accomplishment in bedside clinical teaching of medical students and residents (emergency medicine as well as other clinical services) is necessary. *Academic productivity such as original research papers, abstracts, and chapters is also ideal.
