ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

The Bearcats have a proud athletics history, winning eight national championships and 117 conference titles. The Cincinnati men's basketball team is among the 15 winningest programs all-time, while the football team became the first American Athletic Conference program to compete in the College Football Playoff in 2021. Olympic gold medalist volleyball player Jordan Thompson, NBA Hall of Famer Oscar Robertson and Major League Baseball legend Sandy Koufax are among the several luminaries who have competed as Bearcats.

UC student-athletes collectively posted a 3.387 overall GPA in the fall of 2021 with 78 percent earning spots on the Honor Roll.

JOB OVERVIEW
**MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW*** (UC), Department of Athletics seeks applications for a Television Production Engineer. This is a full-time position, salaried, with a comprehensive benefits package.  

The successful candidate will be expected to supervise and direct comprehensive broadcast studio systems and the productions in an athletic and academic setting and maintain all AV equipment and IT operations for supporting the department mission while following University of Cincinnati and departmental policies, NCAA Division I, and Conference bylaws and regulations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
*Design, select, install, and maintain broadcast equipment and information technology systems as it relates to broadcast productions for ESPN , videoboard operations, and other department needs. *Provide subject matter expert advice of existing systems and their operation as well as industry trends for improvement of infrastructure and processes. *Maintenance and troubleshooting of local computer infrastructure, workstations, local area network equipment as well as broadcast and streaming devices. *Installation of all hardware including fabrication, labeling, and cleaning up all cabling for the systems as well as documenting the operation and pathways. *Liaison with broadcast partners in regard to set-up and technological engagements within UC's athletic facilities. *Schedule production facilities and equipment for use daily. *Schedule and direct all personnel necessary for technical aspects of production.  *Work in conjunction with the Media Production division at CCM and other programs throughout the university. *Assist with the Implementation of Capital projects related to electronic systems. *Perform related duties based on departmental need. REQUIRED EDUCATION
*Bachelor's Degree. *Seven (7) years of relevant experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of educational requirement.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
Three (3) years of related experience in a live studio or studio production environment.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS CONSIDERED
*Experience with Ross Video Systems and ancillary equipment associated with Ross Video Systems (Ultrix router,Carbonite switcher, Xpression graphics and Mira video server) is ideal. *Experience with Daktroniks video board systems is ideal. *May require some evening and weekend hours.
